Profile

Anton Minenko

Anton was introduced to Jiu Jitsu at age 14 by his uncle and a season of The Ultimate Fighter. He still remembers being impressed with how someone could so effortlessly manipulate another person into submission.Starting his training at a small club in Adelaide, Anton’s natural athletic talent and attention to detail quickly made him a formidable opponent against his peers, winning several junior titles.
Receiving his Blue Belt at 16, Anton continued training in Jiu Jitsu and building his skills and love for the sport. At the same time, he was playing rugby in the South Australian State Representative Team where he would end up being accepted into the TGS Professional Development Rugby Squad.
However, Jiu-Jitsu was always on his mind and at age 18 Anton decided to commit himself to the sport. He joined a team in Brisbane and with a Purple Belt at the time, Anton made short work of his competition and closed out division after division in spectacular fashion, submitting most of his opponents.
After only one year at Purple Belt and several State and National championships, Anton was promoted to Brown Belt where he continued his stranglehold, successfully qualifying for the Abu Dhabi World Pro three times.
After a very successful 2017/2018 competition season, Anton was awarded his Black Belt in July 2018. Since then Anton has wasted no time in making his mark against the best in the world.
And this is only the beginning...
